He holds a Master of Science in Social
Cognition: Research and Applications from
University College London, where he was awarded
Merit in 2023. His academic journey also
includes a Doctor of Hotel and Tourism
Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic
University, achieved in 2019 with a GPA of 3.83,
and both an M.B.A. (GPA of 3.88) and a B.B.A.
(GPA of 3.78) in Finance from National Taiwan
University.
Since December 2010, Ping-Chieh has served as
the Executive Director and a member of the Board
of Directors at Atami Hotel Co. Ltd. in Taipei
City. Under his leadership, Atami Hotel, a
historic 3-star establishment with 263 rooms,
was transformed into the benchmark of all hot
spring hotels in Taiwan. He managed the overhaul
of corporate culture, organisational structure,
operation management, brand re-engineering,
marketing innovation, and international tourism
marketing. His efforts earned the hotel multiple
accolades, including the Taiwan Star Hotel
Label, Hot Spring Hotel Label, and Japan HIS
Best Partner Award.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ping-Chieh
spearheaded the transformation of the hotel into
an anti-pandemic facility in collaboration with
the Taipei City Government, providing
accommodation for COVID-19 positive patients
with mild symptoms to help alleviate the
hospital patient load.
From December 2013 to January 2021, Ping-Chieh
worked with Kitataki Shun Co. Ltd. across
Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and
China as a Management Consultant and Executive
Coach. He provided executive counselling for
SMEs, utilising the Satir Model, Appreciative
Inquiry, and Mindfulness Meditation to assist
senior managers and entrepreneurs in improving
self-awareness, leadership, and corporate
culture. During the pandemic, he trained over
2100 individuals from prestigious hotels in
"Transformation Training Under the Pandemic."
Additionally, in 2014, he collaborated with
Shanghai Skywide Financial Information
Technology Co. to enhance operational efficiency
for the Agricultural Bank of China in Hunan
Province.
Earlier in his career, from August 2007 to
August 2009, Ping-Chieh was an Associate/Analyst
in Financial Advisory Services at
PricewaterhouseCoopers Taiwan. He provided M&A
advisory, financial due diligence, and business
valuation services across sectors, including
semiconductor, financial, and leisure.
Ping-Chieh holds several certifications,
including Advanced Reiki Practitioner (2024),
Traditional Meditation Instructor from Yoga
Alliance International (2021), Certified
Hypnotherapist from the National Guild of
Hypnotists, Inc. (2021), and Certified Personal
Trainer from the National Academy of Sports
Medicine (2020). He has also completed the
Executives Program in Artificial Intelligence at
Taiwan AI Academy (2020) and the Hospitality
Executive Development Program at Cornell
University School of Hotel Administration
(2014). Additionally, he is a US Certified
Public Accountant, accredited by the State of
New Hampshire Board of Accountancy since 2008.
